Job Location: Pune
Job Description:
Do you have it in you to take on one of the toughest assignments in technical communication and instructional design? An assignment that requires a superlative aptitude for understanding technology and technical details, exceptional instructional design skills, a flair for writing, and the tenacity to look beyond the obvious.
It is an assignment that would call on all your instructional design expertise to design and develop courses that facilitate effective learning and knowledge transfer. And beyond that, it is an assignment that would dare you to understand advanced software technologies and develop content on those technologies.
It is an assignment that would need you to creep under the Symantec product hood and discover what goes on behind the scenes. An assignment that would require you to get your hands dirty by setting up servers and test networks and deploying operating systems and Symantec products across those servers and networks. An assignment that would demand you to learn and write scripts (in VBScript, Perl,...) to simulate failures in software products.
Are you up to the challenge?
You would need to have at least 3 years of experience in instructional design or technical writing (preferably in a product technology company), an engineering or science degree, and a passion for software technology.
You would be responsible for developing highly technical e-learning and instructor-led courses on Symantec enterprise products. These courses would be used to train Symantec's technical support engineers to prepare them to handle technical issues or problems reported by Symantec's customers. The courses would focus on product internals and provide methods and strategies to troubleshoot potential issues with the products.
