The Position: As the L&D Project Controller - Outsourced Projects will be required to manage the design, creation and maintenance of quality courseware. Advise on resource requirements, infrastructure needs and budgetary requirements for the Curriculum Design and Development unit and for planned projects.
A key responsibility will be to project manage courseware production by third party organisations to meet specified quality, time and budget criteria. This will involve leading multiple projects simultaneously as part of an annual work programme, and supervising the work of individuals who are not direct reports (such as consultants from other companies and internal subject matter experts working on outsourced projects).
You will be responsible for the overall quality and fitness for purpose of the deliverables of outsourced vendors by using the expertise of colleagues to review deliverables.
You will need to continuously review vendor performance and advise on selection of alternative or additional vendors as and when required. You will be involved in developing learning content as a marketable product for third party organisations and manage both contract and budgets for any developments undertaken on behalf of external parties.
Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Must have extensive and thorough knowledge of learning and development processes and methods to bring a systems thinking/ strategic perspective to training and development.
- Must have demonstrable experience of managing vendors relationships including identification, selection and vendor performance management.
- Must be able to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people across the Group, develop relationships and manage expectations.
- Must demonstrate strong Customer centric focus with project / program management skills to manage timelines, resources, stakeholders, communications and costs.
