Position title: Instructional Writer
Reports to: Project Manager & Skill Development Manager

Job Description -

• Creating training material in the form of ILT/CBT/WBT
• Develop competence in Adult learning methodology and application in order to create courses that facilitate effective knowledge transfer and retention. Including understanding different learning styles and problem solving strategies.
• To be able to utilize the prior knowledge of the learners to develop courseware that will meet their learning needs.
• Where required be able to conduct formal training needs analysis in order to determine the contents of a course.
• Liaise with SME’s to facilitate knowledge transfer and quality assurance of LBD, Script and course content.
• Liaise with the client to ensure course content achieve their stated objective.
• Create a technical writing standards document for each client/ project.
• Following internal processes to create and quality assure training briefing forms/learning briefing forms based upon client requirements.
• Following internal processes to create and quality assure scripts based upon client requirements.
• Liaise with Heads of production and Designers to brainstorm the effective transfer of the learning objectives to a web based format.
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers.
• Transfer Scripts and/ or course reviews for development.
• Transfer subject matter knowledge.
• To collate and monitor client feedback and hand over to Build team for implementation.
• Update Managers where changes are outside agreed scope and original design.

Candidate Profile -

• Should possess about 2 years experience in creating/writing content.
• Should be able to write grammatically correct sentences.
• Good collaborator, should able to efficiently interact and communicate with other roles/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Should also possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Education/Certification Required

• Have Graduation/ Post-Graduation degree preferably in Engineering/Literature/ Mass Communications/ Journalism with a software technical qualification, such as GNIIT, Diploma in computer applications.
