Senior Specialist, System Design (J2EE) - Mumbai - TATA Interactive Systems

Job Profile:

Position: Senior Specialist – System Design (J2EE)
Proposed Band: Manager
Years of Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience on developing and deploying J2EE applications.
Location: Mumbai

Skill Set Requirement:

Technologies with hands-on experience
Very Strong knowledge and skills on Servlet, JSP, JDBC. Minimum 5 years of development experience.  JUnit, JAXP, JSTL, JMS, Tiles Framework would be added advantage.

Application Servers
Deployment experience on a minimum two different Servlet containers. Deployment experience on Full Fledged J2EE Commercial (WebLogic, Websphere, etc.) or Open source (JBOSS) application servers would be a plus.

Databases
SQL Server or Oracle.  MySQL, HSQL, Firebird, etc would be added advantage.

Build Tools
Ant or any other industry standard build tool

Software Modelling Languages
Strong object oriented designing skills with UML. At least 1 year hands-on experience with any of the popular UML diagramming tool like Rational Rose, Enterprise Architect, etc. Knowledge or implementation of RUP or any other iterative or extreme programming techniques is a plus.

Object Relational (OR) Mapping tools
At least theoretical knowledge of OR Mappers. Implementation experience on Hibernate or JDO or any other OR mapping tool would be a HUGE plus.

Integration Frameworks
Hands on experience with either Struts or Spring framework are a must. Cases where candidates have worked on some other MVC framework can be considered.

Our Requirement:

• A Senior Specialist who can participate in design, development and team reviews.
• Technical excellence is a MUST. Managerial skills would be secondary though the candidate is expected to participate in code reviews and design.
• Hands-on experience on various J2EE technologies is a MUST. Knowledge and/or practical experience on latest J2EE technologies like SOA, Web Services, Web Works, etc. would be an added advantage.
