Job Description:
Position Purpose:
- The Manager, Instructional Design is responsible for managing Instructional Designers, who develop content within an instructional design model to specified business requirements.
- The Manager, Instructional Design also works closely with the Product Management and Scheduling groups to identify and coordinate appropriate staff and resources for projects.
- In some instances, the Manager, Instructional Design is also responsible for identifying and contracting external instructional designers and business/subject matter experts.
- Communicate, motivate and manage staff to accomplish LCO objectives.
- Assign Instructional Designers or external resources to projects (including securing external instructional designers or business/subject matter experts).
- Facilitate appropriate training and staff development (instructional design, toolset, or technical area) for instructional designers.
- Work with other LCO functional managers to establish the most effective use of and improvements to our tools, process, etc.
- Manage component and process requirements for all projects impacting CDD.Interact with secured clients and prospective clients.
- Provide input on RFPs that include custom content services.Oversee the development of required Proof of Concept products.
- Oversee the implementation of the product.
- Create and update Instructional Design documentation related to process, instructional designmodel and toolset where appropriate.
- Attend meetings/facilitate staff meetings/submit Administrative reports.

- Must also have experience in leading a team of Instructional Designers/writers
- Should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the E-learning/technical publishing industry
